Loughborough College is located in the Midlands, next to Loughborough University, making it one of the largest student campuses in Europe. The college was established in 1909 and is part of the state-funded education system and inspected by the UK government. We have been welcoming international students for 50 years and our students create a friendly, cosmopolitan atmosphere together with 9000 local students. We have 200 international students from South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa and European students from Spain, Germany and Italy. Loughborough College is a member of the British Council, Education Counselling Service and also UKCOSA, the organisation which supports and advises international students while studying and living in Britain. We have an experienced Welfare team and high standard Halls of Residence next to the college with free internet access. Local homestay accommodation is available for younger students needing support. Loughborough College students become members of Loughborough University Students Union and have access to all the sporting and social activities at the university. Our Student Liaison Officer also organises varied sporting, fitness and musical activities and trips. We offer a free taxi service for all new full time international students. The Learning and Resource centre has wide ranging multi media facilities and computer packages, photocopiers, scanners, DVDs, course books, newspapers, journals and magazines. Courses
